What you’ll do:
- You will understand the requirements of serial links as specified by the IEEE and other sources (OIF, MSA, customer requirements)
- You will familiarize yourself with different modeling approaches for system design and simulation
- You will work on link budgeting, non-ideality modeling and system simulation
- You will analyze DSP challenges and opportunities, explore and compare different optimization directions, and generate tradeoff curves of performance and cost (complexity/power/area/design time)
Skills you’ll learn:
- You will be introduced to state-of-the-art PHY design
- You will work on high-efficiency DSP design
- You will learn how to model, simulate, and analyze complex systems involving multi-domain aspects (e.g., physical link/analog circuits/digital circuits/software)
- You will become an expert user of Matlab and other simulation environments (such as custom C++ simulators)
How you’ll work:
- You will be part of the Architecture team
- You will be supervised in all the phases of your work with a reference person who will help you have a fast learning experience.
- You will participate in meetings, discussions, and brainstorming sessions
