Description

RINA is currently recruiting for a Railway Junior Assessor to join its office in Genoa, Italy within the Transport & Infrastructure Certification Division.

Mission

The candidate will execute specific tasks as a member of teams for the Independent Safety Assessment (ISA), European Certification according to TSI-CCS   and Testing of trackside and onboard signaling products and systems for Italian and international projects.

Certification and ISA tasks (execution of activities and reports): Document Inspection, Auditing and Test Witnessing.

Key Accountabilities

Safety Assessment  and Certification Support:
Support in performing assessment and certification activities related to railway projects, ensuring compliance with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
Delivery Assurance:
Ensure the timely and successful delivery of assessment and certification plans under the supervision of an Assessor or Senior Assessor.
Project Support:
Support projects in reaching satisfactory results in a timely manner, actively contributing to the achievement of project goals.
Compliance and Standards:
Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
Knowledge Transfer:
Support in the development of technical knowledge and contribute to effective knowledge transfer to other employees within the organization.
Client Feedback Analysis:
Make recommendations based on external client feedback to assist in the continuous improvement of service delivery.
Project Management Support:
Contribute to project management activities, including monitoring the progress of projects and providing support where applicable.

From technical side more in detail:

System level: system and RAMS engineering, hazard analyses and risk control, system adaptation, configuration and installation

HW solutions, design review, implementation, installation, Environmental and EMC compatibility in the specific application

SW solutions, design review, implementation, adaptation, modification, installation

Application Engineering, Design and Manufacturing activities

Testing and/or Test Witnessing in lab and on field (trackside and on-board)

Laboratory tasks: Development of the Hw, Fw and Sw Tools of the Railway Certification Laboratory for Eurobalise, Euroloop and ERTMS/ETCS Tests, Execution of tests on real On-Board and Trackside railway products for EU Certification and Authorization for Placing in Service processes.

Candidate requirements

The ideal candidate has a master's degree with the following backgrounds: Electronic engineering Electrical engineering Computer Science Computer engineering Physics Fluent in English
