Description

SPEA S.p.A., company worldwide leader in the design and manufacturing of testing systems for semiconductors and electronic boards, is looking for a Electronic Designer.

The candidate will be placed on a professional growth path in which he/she will have the opportunity to gain increasing skills in the design of microprocessor electronic boards, measurement electronic boards, and analog and digital signal generation.

Specifically, he/she will be responsible for the following activities:

 

  • Will attend Kick Off meetings with customers and job references to gather information needed to develop designs
  • Will support engineers in designing electronic devices.
  • Will independently design electronic devices derived from electronic boards already built
  • Will create, through the use of CAD software (Mentor, Cadence, Mathlab), electronic technical drawings
  • Will program in HDL for AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, Lattice FPGA families
  • Will implement the power part of the board using the best simulators.
  • Will conduct, when necessary, alternative component scouting activities to supplement technical needs
  • Will participate in all phases of Debug, Calibration and Characterization up to the finished product to be installed in the world’s best test systems in the microchip market.

Candidate requirements

Master Degree in Electronics Knowledge of C / C ++ programming language Knowledge and use of multi-meter, oscilloscope, function generator Electrical schematics and PCB design skills Troubleshooting mindset Good knowledge of spoken and written English Willingness to intercontinetal travel Strong attitude for team work, interpersonal and problem solving skills Knowledge of broadband analog/digital circuits Knowledge of signal integrity (S-parameter, insertion loss, impedance) Knowledge of Electromagnetic fields Nice to have: knowledge of FEM simulator for analysis of PCB/3D structures. knowledge of microwaves RF components and structures

Planned activities

Development of measuring instruments for semiconductor testers. Study of low and medium voltage analog circuits. Development of digital circuits on FPGA. Simulations for high frequency cards up to 70 GHz. Signal integrity analysis on PCB with CST studio.
