Description

We are looking for an intern to join the Competence Center for Product Development at our Altopascio (LU) site, within the team responsible for executing new product initiatives.
The selected candidate will support daily activities related to the product development process and contribute to projects associated with the implementation of the new SAP S/4HANA management system. The internship will have an initial duration of 6 months.

Candidate requirements

A recent graduate or final-year student in Engineering, or related fields, available full-time starting June or early July 2025 Proficient in Microsoft Office tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Team player with the ability to interact effectively with various departments Excellent communication and active listening skills Highly organized and detail-oriented Fluent in English, both spoken and written

Planned activities

Support the definition of new operational procedures for the implementation of SAP S/4HANA: You will collaborate on designing and drafting a new set of procedures aligned with the implementation of the SAP S/4HANA system. The goal is to ensure consistency, efficiency, and standardization of operational workflows within the team. Support information gathering and sharing with European Customer Services: You will act as a liaison between the Product Development team and Customer Service teams across various European countries, providing updates, documentation, and support to ensure effective cross-functional alignment. Manage the development process for customized products (e.g., printed napkins): You will assist in coordinating the steps required to develop customized products, ensuring the entire process—from request intake to production—is completed accurately and on time. Collaborate with Planning, Graphics, Quality, Supply Service, and other departments: You will work across multiple business functions, helping ensure smooth execution of initiatives and effective communication throughout the entire value chain. Monitor order flow from entry in SAP to final shipment: You will track the lifecycle of customized product orders in SAP, manage updates, and support the shipping process in close collaboration with logistics teams.
