Planned activities

Job description: We are seeking a Materials Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team and support the development and optimization of encapsulation techniques, substrates, and lamination processes for next-generation photovoltaic modules. This role is essential in advancing Astradyne’s terrestrial and aerospace product lines, with a strong focus on material characterization, selection, and testing in challenging environments. As part of our engineering and R&D team, you will work closely on our products, supporting the full lifecycle from research to prototyping and lab and field testing. Key responsibilities: • Develop and experiment with encapsulation recipes for photovoltaic cells, including the use of resins, adhesives, and various front and back sheets. • Select, characterize, and test advanced materials for space and terrestrial environments. • Work with external laboratories and testing facilities for validation (e.g. solar simulators, thermal vacuum chambers, vibration tests, etc.). • Collaborate with suppliers and institutions (e.g. universities, space agencies) for joint development and qualification of new materials and recipes. • Contribute to the design and optimization of manufacturing processes and material handling workflows, including operation of machinery and dispensing equipment. • Generate reports, datasheets, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Benefits: • A fast-paced learning environment: Work closely with a young, multidisciplinary team, gaining exposure to various aspects of engineering and business. • Competitive compensation: A salary that reflects your skills and contributions. • Innovative culture: A workplace that values creativity, teamwork, and professional growth. • Impactful work: Be part of a mission to revolutionize solar energy for terrestrial and space applications. Application process: To apply, send your resume, cover letter detailing your experience, and any relevant portfolio or project samples to careers@astradyne.space. We look forward to learning about your passion for solar energy and how you can help us make an impact. Astradyne is an equal opportunity employer. We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
