What is a PhD?

A PhD is the highest level of undergraduate education that creates researchers that have the skills that can be spent in academia and business, both nationally and internationally.

Training

It is an educational pathway that includes technical- specialized and cross- curricular courses with a strongly multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approach.

Research

During the journey, the doctoral student conducts an original research project on an innovative topic at the University and/or at qualified research institutions or companies, together wth a supervisor.

Academic title

At the end of the three-year course, the doctoral student obtains the title of Doctor of Research.
